About Us

Ridgeway Garages (Enfield) Ltd was formed in 2002. Prior to that it was known as Lavender Hill Garage, which was formed around the turn of the 20th century. Lavender Hill Garage actually started off life as a blacksmiths!

In 2002 the owner of Lavender Hill Garage semi retired, the garage was split into two; the petrol forecourt side took the name Lavender Hill Garage, and all remaiining departments, Car Sales, Servicing, Workshops, Parts etc were transferred over to the adjoining newly formed Ridgeway Garages. The new company was formed with the existing staff from Lavender Hill and many are still here today.

Ridgeway Garages is currently run by David Needham who has worked at the garage for over 40 years!

The garage has gone through a range of franchises, namely the small bubble car Goggomobil, then onto Rootes Group, then through to Austin Morris, Wolseley, Riley, British Leyland, Triumph, Austin Rover, Subaru, Isuzu and now Rover MG.

In our long and distinguished history, we have helped and served such customers as Gilberto (Arsenal player), Michelle Ryan (Eastenders Actress), Andy Abraham (X-Factor Contestant), Mike Gatting, Phil Tuffnell (English Cricketers), Reg Varney (On The Buses Actor) and Ed Ray (1950s comedian).
